Our analysis of data relating to the Italian Digital Audience continues thanks to Audiweb. The two months of April and May confirmed the previous trends, with a slight increase in some factors. Going into specifics, monthly unique users remained at an average of 42 million, with an increase of 1.8% for the month of May, reaching 42.2 million . The number of online users on an average day also recorded a slight increase, going from the average 33 million in the previous two months to 33.9 million at the end of May .
As usual, there was a further increase in users coming from smartphones , reaching 65.8% of the Phone Number List online population. This majority was recorded in all age groups, especially for those between 25 and 34 , with a surprising 34.5% also for the over 65 group. The different age groups maintained approximately the same values, surfing on the average day for more than 80% from 18 to 54 years . The values instead decrease for the older age groups, reaching 26.6% for the over 65s . Unfortunately, data relating to the hours spent online by users were not available for these months, but we will check in the next period if significant differences have been recorded.
The data relating to the next period will allow us to understand whether the Italian digital audience has actually stabilized and the only change to be recorded is that of the move to mobile platforms, or whether it is destined to change further. Stay tuned .Our analysis of data relating to the Italian Digital Audience continues thanks to Audiweb.
